Why are the prices so high?
I wish I could sell these baits and items for less but this is a very small operation. The item prices are comparable to other high quality offerings on the market from much larger companies with more economy of scale.
Lunker Research products only exist because of the research, design, testing, and manufacturing efforts of one person. Every soft bait requires coloring, heating, and injecting the soft plastic into the molds. Every jig and weighted hook is individually poured by hand. Every rod holder is hand finished.
There are a lot of costs that may not be obvious to you, the customers, that are necessary for Lunker Research to recover associated with the development of each unique product or bait design.
Why is the shipping cost so high?
Lunker Research is just getting started and small flat rate boxes or absorbing the price difference in shipping for larger orders is just what makes sense for me right now. Hopefully better shipping rates will be available sometime during 2026 rather than the $11 flat rate cost.

While Lunker Research strives to make sure that every customer is happy and feels satisfied with their orders returns are not accepted.
